Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. BIM/VDC Jr. Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Duties:

  • Drawing Production

  • Project Team and Detailer Coordination

  • Review design and construction documents

  • Create VIM/VDC models and update with current construction document revisions

  • Ambassador of company BIM standards

  • Perform constructability reviews and presentation materials such as 4D schedules and phasing plans with direction from senior co-workers.

  • Assist and provide the field engineering team with necessary layout data

Qualifications that internal co-worker must possess in order to be considered for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from four-year college or university and 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience

  • General knowledge and understanding of engineering and architectural documentation and construction

  • Strong technical computer skills

  • Advanced knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and familiarity with IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) format.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Must be able to work in a versatile, organized and methodical way to prioritize and balance workloads

Co-worker must have held current position for no less than one year. Co-worker must be in good standing with no disciplinary problems.

Current manager must endorse with a letter of recommendation.
